Hey, sorry its been a while. I have my results now for music tech, i did quite well in the exam a/b if i remember correctly. It was a pretty good exam, in fact, out of all the AS exams i took – i thought the music tech one was the best.

@Michael: I think i hated the track you were talking about (the jazzy one), it might have been another one but im not sure.

@Ben: I also thought that the audioslave was odd, was expecting something older. I dont mind audioslave but i would have preferred some proper classic heavy rock!

I think I did quite well, it wasn’t that hard really – the specialist areas weren’t too bad, just 2 3 mark questions on heavy rock where we had to pick one of the 3 artists given, and discuss their contribution to the development of heavy rock – but other than that, it was pretty good

@Michael: Awesome! Interesting that they picked Audioslave and not a “classic” heavy rock band, if you know what I mean.

Hey, I just had the exam today – it was not bad actually, our teacher thought it was alright compared to some ones he has seen. We had a good choice of music though, there was a really catchy Jazzy piece for track 4 – and we had audioslave for heavy rock :D but I’d have rather had Bon Jovi, I’m a huge fan of them lol

Hey thanks ben!

Thats good, Im also doing the regular music as which is packed full of theory so i will be fine on the theory front. I’ve been looking into reggae and a bit of heavy rock since I posted (dont so much need to with heavy rock as im already very familiar, to say the least) and Ive had a look at some past papers, it seems your very right about not being able to know everything – they do seem to ask quite a range of questions. I’ll just have to hope its something i know haha :)
